Shown below are pictures of 1/144 or micro scale
dollhouses. These tiny dollhouses are often referred to as a "dollhouse
for your dollhouse" since they are small enough to fit inside a dollhouse.
Most of the pieces are so tiny, you need tweezers and a magnifying glass to
assemble the houses. We think these micro houses are the cutest houses
around.
The Gothic Mansion is a house we built from a kit
in 1/144 scale. The 1/144 scale is considered to be "dollhouse" scale since it
is 1/12 of 1/12. This particular kit is manufactured by Northeastern Scale
Models who created the Gothic Mansion after the real-life Victorian Gothic
Mansion that can be found in New York State and was mentioned in the book
"Daughters of the Painted Ladies: America's Resplendent Victorians" by Pomada
and Larson.
The Beacon Hill Dollhouse is a micro version of
Greenleaf's 1/12 Scale Beacon Hill Dollhouse. Just because this version is
small enough to fit inside the larger version doesn't mean any architectural
detail was spared. This micro Beacon Hill is just as magnificent as its larger
counterpart.
The Garfield Dollhouse is also a micro version of
Greenleaf's 1/12 Scale Garfield Dollhouse. Just like its full size
counterpart, the micro Garfield has 7 gables and all the wonderful towers, trim
and porch. This dollhouse is one of the largest dollhouses (both in 1/12
and micro scale) that Greenleaf makes.
